Red Leicester, Apple and Lettuce

INGREDIENTS for 1:
1 Apple
Red Leicester cheese 100 gr
Lettuce 100 gr
Pecan nuts
Lemon Thyme

DRESSING:
Balsamic vinegar
Extra virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon juice
Salt

Mela, formaggio Red Leicester e Lattuga

Ingredienti per 2 persone

1 Mela
formaggio Red Leicester 100 gr (se non lo trovate vi consiglio il formaggio di fossa, o con un pecorino non troppo stagionato, oppure con un parmigiano giovane o anche un cacioricotta)
Lattuga 100 gr
Noci
Timo limone

Condimento:
Aceto balsamico
Olio extra vergine di oliva
Succo di 1/2 limone
Sale

  1. Wow, I really want to try this salad, one question tho. I don't think I can get that cheese where I live, could you describe what kind of cheese it is, so I can find a replacement for it :) Great photo too.

    It's quite a sweet aged cheese

    or other descriptions:
    Red Leicester is a russet red hard pressed cheese which will be sold at anything from 3 months to 12 months of age. The traditionally made wheels tend to be firmer and drier but have a friable texture and a slightly sweet mellow flavour that becomes stronger as the cheese matures. The block made cheeses are moister and are ideal for slicing and have a slightly sweet aftertaste and a creamy texture.
