Saladpride drinks: strawberries, lemon and water

I've never been a massive fan of fruit and veggie juices. I find them too rich, too intense and a bit overwhelming. Especially to drink with something to eat I prefer something lighter.  I'm starting here a new series: infused water "salad". Ahahaha! Just kidding, just infused water. I want something to drink with my salad and my breakfast everyday. I want something refreshing, something simple, something light and healthy. It's nothing new, nothing crazy, just the right thing for me to drink along my meal and during the day, in this hot summer.

broad beans, broccoli, carrot and persian cress

I've always been a fan of Steve's leaves, I've been extensively using his baby watercress, pea shoots and wild red rocket. I respect also his attention to natural farming ( more than organic). I luckily had the opportunity to try in advance the lovely new range of Steve's salad: the Persian cress. Yummy!! It's a nicely peppery and light mix, very well crafted as usual. I've tried it with steamed broad beans and stem broccoli, shaved carrot, spring onion and a English mustard, salt, cider vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and agave syrup. Cherries week


cherries, apricots and gluten free cereal flakes,


A nice way to finish my cherries week and start the apricot one: cherries, apricots, doves gluten free cereal flakes, almond milk, chia seeds. Breakfast fruit salads.

Sprouts week



After 2 weeks of tests on sprouts I can say that I don't really like raw sprouts. Their bitter taste doesn't work with my palate. I can get away with alfalfa but sprouted legumes are a bit too much.
What I liked I'd been boiling or stir frying them for few minutes in order to make them safer (killing bacteria) and removing that incredibly bitter taste. What's your take on sprouts?
